  • Gulf Coast Laundry Services Contract (2001-2004)

From 2001-2004 I was contracted almost exclusively with Gulf Coast Laundry Services, a large industrial laundry catering to Gulf Coast casino & hotels to develop from scratch, a complete laundry management system. The project took nearly four years to complete but when it was finished it revolutionized the industry. For the first time the laundry facility was able to track in real-time, all incoming and outgoing laundry as it was being processed and delivered to their customers. The program ties into their existing data collection machines and allows the laundry to track every piece of linen as it goes through the cleaning process within the large plant. Hotel housekeeping managers are able to look inside the delivery trucks and see all the contents of their linen carts as the clean laundry is being weighed on the scale and placed in the trucks for delivery. This new technology was directly responsible for the laundry landing several large contracts.

More details and specifics of this project are available upon request with confidentiality agreement.

    Reason For Closing My Business

The devestation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 destroyed my business and residence. Not to mention; Katrina nearly took our lives!   Homeless, we were forced to evacuate as refugees, but thanks to the help and generosity of a new employer and new friend, Dr. Tom Clark; we now reside safe and sound in Petal, Mississippi and hopefully far enough out of harms way from future storms.   I still provide limited services and support for a handful of clients (all directly affiliated with my current employer), but my commitment and loyalty are first to my employer, and only when time permits do I contract myself out to new or former clients.

1988 - 1994 Gulf Coast Radio Services, Inc.
    Biloxi, Mississippi General Manager-Vice-President
I began my career in broadcasting in 1988 working as an advertising sales representative and part-time disc jockey for a small 1000 watt AM station in Biloxi, MS. By 1992 I had worked my way up through the ranks to become one of the youngest general managers in the country, while operating five radio stations under one roof. I was one of the first to introduce automation and live assist computer technology before it became the industry standard. I was directly involved in formatting and programming decisions for four FM and one AM radio stations. These formats included Soft Rock, Classic Rock, Contemporary Hit Radio, Christian Contemporary and Nostalgia/Big Band. At the peak of my career two of my stations were the top rated adult radio stations on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in 1992 and 1993. One was a classic rock station which captured the number one spot with Men 18-34 and 25-54. The other was a soft rock station that captured the number one spot with women 25-54. The two stations combined became the best buy in the market for targeting adults 25-54 on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
